My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

My formal fine arts training focused on the areas of oil painting and printmaking. Since acquiring my first digital camera in 2002, I have explored photography as an art form. My resulting works have been selected for many juried shows and Philadelphia Stories Magazine each year. With the perspective of a painter, I assemble a "palette" of elements from my photographs to digitally create a new and different whole or montage. The process evolves from creative intuition, synthesizing experiences and reflecting them in an artistic venue. My work is personal, yet mindful of reaching out to the viewer to stimulate their own interpretation and feelings. Therefore, in full circle, creating new personal meanings. My photomontage Pulse has been selected to be included in RSVP 2012, an annual national juried exhibition, sponsored by the New Wilmington Art Association. This year's juror F. Lennox Campello is an art critic, co-founder of the Fraser Gallery (Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD), curator of over 200 exhibitions and is himself an internationally exhibited visual artist. His Daily Campello Art News blog (http://dcartnews.blogspot.com/) has chronicled visual arts events for nearly three million visitors and is one of the most popular visual art blogs worldwide.

The New Wilmington Art Association (NWAA) is located in the creative district on Lower Market (LOMA) in Wilmington. The building was originally the Crosby Hill Department store from the late 1800's. The newly renovated building is in the new Art and Design district of Wilmington now referred to as LOMA (http://www.flyingkitemedia.com/features/lomawilmington0322.aspx).
