My formal fine arts training focused on the areas of oil painting and printmaking. Since acquiring my first digital camera in 2002, I have explored photography as an art form. My resulting works have been selected for many juried shows and Philadelphia Stories Magazine each year. With the perspective of a painter, I assemble a "palette" of elements from my photographs to digitally create a new and different whole or montage. The process evolves from creative intuition, synthesizing experiences and reflecting them in an artistic venue. My work is personal, yet mindful of reaching out to the viewer to stimulate their own interpretation and feelings. Therefore, in full circle, creating new personal meanings. Artists of Yardley Juried Art Show
March 9 - March 31, 2012
AOY Arts Center, Yardley, PA

Friday night was the opening of the AOY Juried Show. It is a very impressive show of 71 pieces, selected from 299 submissions. I felt very honored to have one of my recent photomontages, Meditation, included in the selection.

I have been very impressed with how professional they handled the whole process & their wonderful gallery spaces. Since the art center is in an old stone house, there are two gallery rooms downstairs and two upstairs. Additionally, the entrance hall & large stairwell were also utilized. Everything was beautifully & thoughtfully set up.
